Loyola launches new Masters of Science in Physiology program
Registration is under way for a new master’s of science degree program in physiology at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.
“Physiology is the basis of medicine,” said Stephen L. Lipsius, PhD, professor of physiology and director of the program.

Loyola University Chicago broke ground for the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and Center for Collaborative Learning building April 9 at the Maywood campus.

U.S. News & World Report has ranked Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing’s graduate program in the top 50 nationwide.

Med student grateful for scholarship that eases financial burden of her studies
A second-year student at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Maria Theodorou’s days begin early and end late.
But she couldn’t imagine having it any other way.
“At Stritch it’s a great deal of class time and studying, but I love the environment, the community feeling and the homelike atmosphere,” said the 22-year-old Maria. “Also, being able to have classroom and clinical experience from the first year makes a big difference in keeping me motivated and excited to be here every day.”

Angela Kelle, a busy fourth-year medical student, hadn't finished her studies but had already published seven studies in peer-reviewed medical journals.
