Q. Will my medical records and those of my family be transferred over to Burr Ridge?
A. Yes, you and your physicians have access to your records from any Loyola site, including Burr Ridge. Burr Ridge physicians and staff will make extensive use of Loyola’s Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to share information and enhance patient care. Loyola also offers its patients a free, secure online portal called myLoyola Select, which also has apps for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Here you will be able to view your health summary, including current medications, your allergies, immunization records and a schedule of preventive-care recommendations, such as reminders to get a flu shot. You also can make appointments and send non-urgent messages to your physician and receive a reply. Q. I read in an article that registration and paperwork issues will be resolved ahead of my scheduled appointment. Do I need to do anything ahead of time?
A. The Burr Ridge center has taken several innovative steps to minimize waiting time for patients and physicians. The check-in process for clinic appointments at the Burr Ridge location has been streamlined to include only confirmation of patient demographics and the collection of any applicable co-pays. Verification of eligibility and HMO referrals or precertification will be done prior to patient arrival.
